Shay Connor...

One and a half great days where I've been able to focus fully on Chapter 7. Both days produced good word-counts, but today's has been outstanding... I felt as if there was tremendous heat being produced from my finger tips, and my mind was seeing scenes and pictures, at break neck, pacing speed.

I love Shay Connor, he's a beautiful man, and is in the right place, at the right time. He has an adventure to go on, but his character is going to be more than ready for it, due to what he can gain, or even, what he might lose.

Chapter 7 belongs to this guy, however, he shares it with the beautiful Alma Essie. Their story has given me goosebumps. I am really enjoying their adventure...

So my darlings, coffee break is over, and I'm back on it!

Until next time...

I Remember...

Image from Pinterest

The dark room, filled with cobwebs, was cold, ice hung from its windows, and as I lay frozen, wet and shivering on the floor, I felt disorientated. I Instantly became alert to the creaking door at the top of the stairs, initially it was being opened slowly, then suddenly, it flew open. She stood staring at me through the wooden grab-rail. Seeing I was awake, she flew down the steps, screaming, grabbed my wrists, and held on claw-like, as she roughly taped them together. Breathing heavy, and with a strange aroma about her, she glanced sideways, and that's when I noticed the plastic sheeting, lying on the floor.

Terror filled my soul. I knew she was going to kill me.

I began pleading for my life, and asked what was happening, who was she, and why was she doing this?

I'll never forget her response, or the dull, dead, flat tone she used to answer. She simply said,

"Because I can".

Alma Essie...

Image shared from Pinterest

There is so much to my journey. But, I've instructed my writer to be selective in what is shared. When MJs book is published I want you to read it and enjoy the ups and downs of my family, who want nothing but the best for others, however it's when we come into contact with outsiders, and sometimes, family, that the journey shifts, and changes. and as you will eventually read, not always for the better. There's so much sadness and heartache in life and it reflects in many different ways... I became aware that when I looked into characters and their stories, I knew it was all relevant, and most characters, even the small ones become a big part of who we are, and usually impact on where we're going. The story-line can develop at an alarming rate, so its important to be able to retain the information, and at least record it...

As the big screen moves across my writers mind, I always see the bigger picture with her, and thankfully we see a smaller one too.

Anyways my lovely's, it hot here today... I hope whatever you're up to, you're chilling and enjoying the beautiful weather. Me, I'll get back to discussions with my characters.

Isabelle...

No one could predict the monster Isabelle would become, but its the backstory, and characters accounts that will help the reader understand the whys and wherefores... Even so, it's Isabelle's hard heart, and despicable treatment of those around her that will make it difficult to sympathise.  She's a twenty year old, hell-bent on seducing, her benefactor, Mr Arthur Essie.

No one will get in her way... No-One.

This week the word count has been healthy. The ideas and direction of Chapter 5, have flowed nicely...

Watching, and waiting from the perimeter of the Garden Party, Isabelle knew he'd arrive soon. She was fed up of hanging around, she had plans, and he would listen. It was her time.  Then, she saw him enter the party holding his wife's hand, smiling, as he introduced her to business colleagues.

Isabelle's fury exploded in her chest, it burned, she felt as if she was on fire and it made her eyes water.

She never cried, not ever.
